Common Argumentative Essay Topics That I Did Too Much Of Too OftenWhen I was a college student, I used to write the same argumentative essay topic for a number of years. I figured that a topic like this would come up all the time, so I never really looked at the different types of essays available for it. But I did keep notes on the topics that I wrote about in college and over the years I noticed there were three different types of essay topics I had written about.The first is the major essay topic, which I remember that it was something that students thought they would do for the rest of their lives. I have a lot of good memories from college, but one thing I remember is being very sick throughout most of my senior year. It took a long time for me to recover and as I looked back at my notes, I realized it was a major essay topic that I wrote about way too many times. Then again, if I didn't make it to the end I would have written it without really thinking about it.Another type of essay topic that you may write too many times is a paragraph topic. This is when you write about a few paragraphs that are very detailed and at times you may not even think about them as part of the essay topic. The truth is that just because it's short, doesn't mean it's not relevant. This is the type of essay topic that I tend to go back to as I look at my writing history and see a theme emerging.I think that there are three different types of paragraph topic I did just too much of too often. The first is when I would write about an in depth argument using quotations, which I was forced to do because my professor pressured me to do so.Secondly, I would go to students who were in need and write about how they benefited from the treatment they received. I remember a student who had been stabbed and no one would hire him after he left school because his wrists and hands were so badly damaged from the attack. He was able to get a job after I wrote about the power of charity and how pe ople can do great things for others. Another student had gotten in trouble with the law for something he did with drugs and I was writing about the fact that forgiveness is the first step toward recovery.Finally, during semesters when I wrote two or three paragraphs for each argument I'd have to fill in the information at the end of the semester and write about what the students got out of the experience. I remember a student who came to class in an alligator costume and he asked if he could wear it on my first day of class. I decided to write about it and the following semester there was a real alligator on campus and I was writing about how an encounter with the animal was part of his education.The bottom line is that you should spend some time on paragraph topics during the semester and do them slowly and carefully. Once you understand how the writing works, you will start to do them without thinking about them too much. The more time you invest in writing paragraphs the better o ff you will be because you will understand the structure of your essay, which means you will be writing it more efficiently.What are some other common argumentative essay topics that I wrote too many times?
